One day, God appeared to Moses. He told Moses " [7]And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
[8] And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites." ( Exodus 3, verse 7 and 8) Moses knew that the Pharaoh, from Egypt, would not let them leave the land just like that, because Pharaoh believed that the Children of Israel were going to rebel, and the Israelites outnumbered them greatly. So Moses goes and tells Aaron, his brother, to help him convince Pharaoh to let them leave. So they go, and pharaoh says...NO. God was angry at Pharaoh, and he told Moses and Aaron to raise their hands pointing at heaven, and when they do so, they begin the Seven Plagues. These were some events in Egypt that God did to put fear on Pharaoh. He turned the Nile into blood, and all the fish died, and there was no water, and is was stinky. God also made a plague of frogs, which also stank. He then made all Egypt full of lice, eating all that crossed their paths. Then he made a plague of flies. There were flies everywhere, and still Pharaoh would not let them go. After this, he killed all the cattle of the Egyptians, but no cattle of the Children of Israel were killed. Pharaoh still refused to let them go, so God did a hail in the fields of the Egyptians, leaving no tree alive. There were a few others, and this made Pharaoh change his mind. These were the plagues that caused the most damage of all history in Egypt.
