Ishmael...A Book Of life

Ishmael, before even finishing reading it, has already proofed that it is a book full of teachings, a book that will change you forever, a book of life. I can call it that way and am sure I'm sure I'm not wrong because I think what the gorilla (metaphorically) is trying to say to us is what is really going on in life, that there have been very wrong moments (he repetitively names the nazis) and very good ones in life. He knows that he is in captivity because he is an animal living in a society of humans, but he also knows that the humans are also in captivity, but that we don't know of what. He does explain that we are captives of a society, one that we need to destroy the world to keep living on it, and perhaps we did know this, but once he states it like that is that I understand it and realized it was true. Ishmael ( D. Quinn) says ( a lot) that mother culture has been saying to us the story of life in many different ways, but that we just don't hear it. He also says some very smart things that perhaps were mistakes one could have made before reading, and he says some very intelligent quotes that make a lot of sense, like " There are times when having so much to say is as dumbfounding as having too little", and that sort of things.I think he wants us readers to  understand that there are some serious problems going on right now, like global warming and that we are damaging too much the earth, but he plays dumb as if it were only a book. I know I have still many things to learn from the gorilla, because I have not yet finished reading the book, and I know I won't forget this book for a very long time!
